Classic Motors & Machine was founded in 2016 as the only full-service automotive machine shop in Loudoun County, Virginia. We can trace our roots back to the early-1980s with the founding of B&B Automotive Machine Shop, also in Leesburg. Over the past 40 years we have grown and expanded our services and moved all our machining operations in house.
In 2013, we re-organized and began plans to build a new state-of-the-art facility and modernize some of our equipment and processes—including moving to CNC machining. These plans came to be in 2016, when we broke ground on our current location. This new shop, built out of a restored barn in the beautiful countryside of Loudoun County, is more than double the space we had previously.
Completed at the beginning of summer 2017, we moved into our new shop and Classic Motors & Machine was born.
We specialize in restoring engines to better than new condition. While we specialize in classic American engines (typically from 1900-1980), we have extensive experience in many English and other foreign makes. We take the time to research every last detail and build an engine that exceeds your expectations.
Largely due to passion for antique Jeeps and Willys-Overland vehicles, we have become specialists in rebuilding and restoring vintage Willys and Jeep engines and drivetrains. From the early Whippet passenger cars and Go-Devil flatheads of the WW2 era to the 1970s and 1980s Jeeps with their AMC-built V8s and inline-sixes, we have the knowledge and expertise to properly restore and rebuild these classic American icons.
Classic Motors & Machine is your one-stop for all your automotive machining needs. We remachine cylinder heads, bore blocks, balance rotating assemblies, machine crankshafts, line bore and align hone, shot peen, and much more.
We supply machining services for many repair shops and dealerships in the Northern Virginia area. We take pride in our quick turnaround, with many cylinder head repairs being performed same-day, and some even while you wait!
